Sandwich

Snack today was green apple with peanuts for S and with cheese cubes for E. Does anyone have any ideas for protein that can go without refrigeration for 2.5 hours other than nuts and cheese? We are in a rut...
For lunch the boys both had a sandwich, cantaloupe, rice pudding and granola bars. The grandparents picked up the boys after school today and watched them for the weekend - hello second honeymoon!! Anyway, they didn't tell me how much food they ate but I imagine they ate most all/all of it or they would have mentioned it.

Pasta with chicken or eggsalad

Snack today was Asian pear and crackers with cheese. Yum! It is official - all three of my Disney store snack boxes are broken. :( They little tabs broke off all three. We shall see if these boxes last any longer. I have a feeling that my boys are just a little too rough on the tabs.
E's lunch is on the left and S's is on the right. They both have pasta, cantaloupe flowers and strawberries. E has egg salad and the orange container has Parmesan cheese to shake on the pasta which I told him to share with S. S has chicken and the yellow topped container has BBQ sauce. I'm hesitant to send these little "condiment" containers as they hardly have enough time to eat let alone add condiments. But I was with them at lunchtime today and they managed just fine.
Above is A's lunch which is the same as E's by A's request. A however really does not like egg salad. He insisted he did but he "changed his mind" by the time we got to the cafeteria. Oh well...
Here is my yummy lunch. Red pepper and tomato soup, cheese quesaldillas , the remains of the cantaloupe that I cut the flowers from and some strawberries. The soup is Pacific Natural Foods brand. It comes in a carton. I wish I knew how to make a link... Anyway it is VERY good!

The "Mom is not feeling well lunch"

I was not feeling well this morning. So nothing "cute" about today's food. S has banana and peanuts and E has banana and cheese stick. No cute food picks for the cheese sticks. Heck, I didn't even remover the wrapper! An no veggies because that would require more energy than I had this morning.
Lunch was a cream cheese and jelly sandwich, strawberries and a cookies. The boys didn't comment at all about the "boring" lunches which I guess just proves that I make them more for me than them. :)

Pita sandwiches II

Snack today was bananas, carrots red peppers and cheese for E or peanuts for S. E's lunchbox has been found but we have not located his whale water bottle. Hopefully tomorrow.

Lunches today were more pita sandwiches, pears and a cookie. The lunchboxes came home with ALL the food except the cookie! The boys said they "didn't have time and weren't that hungry" - that is one filling cookie! They ate the rest of their lunch when they got home - very strange.

Seseme chicken on a stick

Snack today was some cheese on some new skewers I pickup up over the weekend and some apple.
Lunch included the note I promised to pack (see post below). For food we have a salad, crackers, orange jello (in the round container), sesame chicken and carrot skewers and two prunes. E left his lunch bag at schol but S's returned with only the two prunes. They were both pretty hungry after school though so this was probably not enough food.
This is an airplane snack I packed for my friend Samantha who I drove to the airport this morning after a nice visit. Fruit leather flowers over some raisins, crackers, cheese, mini date nut muffin and pistachios. This disposable box worked great!

Write a note and feed a child

Although I am not a big fan of Lunchables, I realize that others are not able to be so picky about what they eat and what they feed their children. A Lunchables lunch is far better than no lunch.

Kraft will give away a Lunchables to a child in need if you promise to put a note in your kids lunch. We can all do that.

Please see this site and make your promise. I did.
