Snack today was some more apple "mouths" and some carrots. S asked me not to pack them again - ok. Not a hit.
For lunch the boys had a hot dog "mummy", green beans, a cookie, ketchup for dipping the hot dog and some pineapple. They ate every crumb.
Here is A's lunch which he ate at a play date today. Turkey on a pumpkin skewer a cheese stick, chocolate chips, raisins, rice crackers and pineapple.
And lastly, here is my lunch - a corn muffin, pineapple, a piece of candy and yogurt.

Happy Face Oranges
Some cute apples with almond sliver teeth for snack today inspired by and recipe on the familyfun.com website. S wouldn't eat the almonds - surprise, surprise.
For lunch today the boys had a peperoni "flower", cheese and ham on a Halloween pick, crackers and veggies in the top row. In the bottom row they had orange slices with a raisin face and some applesauce with red sprinkles.

Chicken salad and pasta
Snack today was nuts and dried fruit and a few crackers. The dried fruit is raisins and a prune. The nuts are almonds and a few walnuts. Walnuts are not their favorite but I thought I'd give it a try. E ate them but S (true to his usual form) ate around them...
Lunch today was pasta and one ravioli with parmesean cheese in the orange monkey(?) along side of Kix cereal and pretzels. On the bottom they had pears and chicken salad. The chicken salad is pretty boring - just chicken and mayo. I'm thrilled that they both liked it though! They like tuna salad but I hate all the mercury in it so this is a good substitute. I've seen a chickpea salad that is similar. I wonder if they would eat that?

Burrito and pumpkin pie .. strange combo..
Snack today was cheese, crackers and apples.
For lunch they had pumpkin pie and grapes in the top container. On the bottom they had a burrito, veggies and guacamole (actually S had a bigger burrito and a small container of dressing as he doesn't like guacamole.) The burritos were not a hit. They didn't liek them at room temperature/cool.

Fall Harvest Theme Muffin TIn Monday
I probably should have looked at the theme this week before putting together last weeks muffin tin... I did a Halloween theme last week! Oh well, we did a fall/pumpkin theme this week. :) On top we have fruit leather pumpkins, almonds and pumpkin pie. On the bottom we have a green pear, cheddar cheese melted on a pumpkin shaped bread, and a brown pear.
I'd like to tell you how A enjoyed the lunch but when I went to pick him up form his playdate, he was invited to eat lunch there so the muffin tin is still in my fridge. Maybe an afternoon snack he can share with his brothers...

DIY Reusable Sandwich Wrap
I have always loved the idea of reusable sandwich wraps like the ones seen HERE though I don't own any myself. When I read about DIY ones at THIS site I decided to give it a try. I hesitate to share my results as I am SERIOUSLY craft impaired but it is too good of an idea not to share it.
Basically you use the inside lining of a cereal box (being sure to use a cereal without BHT) and sew it to fabric. I had a fraying cloth napkin and an empty box of Cagadian Farms cereal so I thought I'd give it a try. :) For someone crafty, this could be a great project.
